Nikon has significantly improved the performance of the Z5II with enhanced processing speed, improved subject recognition and autofocus, and improved low-light performance. Equipped with a 24.5-megapixel sensor, two SD card slots, and comprehensive video recording capabilities, the Nikon Z5II allows users to increase their creativity underwater. Combined with the NA-Z5II underwater housing, it offers a comprehensive solution for capturing exceptional underwater images. The ergonomic body design optimizes the layout of key controls, positioning them on the left and right grips for intuitive and efficient adjustments during shooting.

INTRODUCING THE NA-Z5II Nikon Z5II Camera

The Nikon Z5II is an evolution of its predecessor and impresses with improved processing speed, subject recognition autofocus, and exceptional performance in low light conditions. Equipped with a full-frame FX-format 24.5 MP BSI CMOS sensor and an EXPEED 7 image processor, the Z5II delivers remarkable image quality.

Der AI-driven autofocus, derived from the Z9 and enhanced with deep learning technology, now uses sophisticated subject recognition for nine different subject types. This ensures precise focusing and tracking, even in difficult lighting conditions.

The EXPEED 7 processor also enables pre-release, a feature that shoots at an impressive 30 frames per second up to one second before the shutter is released. This allows photographers to capture the decisive moment with precision and avoid missed shots.

In addition to its impressive imaging capabilities, the Z5II has been optimized for exceptional video recording. It supports UHD 4K video recording at up to 60 frames per second and Full HD recording at up to 120 frames per second, allowing videographers to capture dynamic and impressive footage.

NA-Z5II Housing

The NA-Z5II underwater housing underscores Nauticam's commitment to innovation. The most important controls are conveniently accessible via ergonomic handles, enabling efficient setup that optimizes time in the water and minimizes equipment maintenance. The N120 lens mount system is compatible with both Nikon Z-mount and older F-mount lenses via the FTZ/FTZ II adapter. Nauticam's extensive range of lens mounts and correction optics complements the capabilities of the NA-Z5II. In conjunction with an optional vacuum valve, the integrated vacuum control and leak detection system continuously monitors the watertightness of the housing. A vacuum system reset switch below the bracket eliminates the need to open the housing back when changing lenses or ports. The optional NA-Z5II LCD window for full-frame viewfinders allows the use of Nauticam full-frame viewfinders for improved visibility. The NA-Z5II supports additional mounting with 1/4-20, M10, and M5 threaded holes on the top for monitors and lighting, while the bottom can accommodate the 25218 tripod ball mount kit. The NA-Z5II can be customized to your specific shooting requirements.

Support for Nikon F-mount and Z-mount lenses

The Nauticam NA-Z5II is designed for Z-mount and F-mount lenses. With the new compact design of the NA-Z5II housing, there are newly developed zoom and focus gears that drive the main zoom/focus knob on the housing. In addition, the 22225 N120 FTZ Adapter ER 25 with button is available, allowing you to use previous-generation zoom and focus gears for the Z-mount together with F-mount lenses and the corresponding gears. Premium professional optics

Nauticam's professional underwater optics deliver the highest image quality underwater. The FCP, WACP, and WWL series enhance wide-angle optics, while the MFO and SMC series offer exceptional macro and super macro capabilities. With the EMWL, you can shoot macro and wide-angle or combine both styles for unique images.

Mission Control

In typical Nauticam fashion, all important controls are located as close to the handles as possible, making these housings among the most intuitive and user-friendly on the market. Our engineers have strategically placed controls where they are most needed, not simply near the corresponding buttons on the camera. The adjustment dials feature rubberized finger grooves and the levers are designed for smooth operation.

Integrated vacuum check and leak detection

The Nauticam vacuum check and leak detection system is supplied as standard with the NA-Z5II. In combination with an additional vacuum valve (PN 25625), this monitoring system provides constant information about the watertightness and diveability of the housing. A simple color-coded LED lighting system indicates to the user whether the vacuum is stable or whether the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is integrated into the same circuit, so that an audible and visual indication is given if water enters. The Nauticam system is temperature-compensated, which prevents false alarms due to external temperature fluctuations or heating of the camera during action-packed dives.
