Description

Nauticam M67 Bayonet Adapter for CMC, SMC & Wet Lenses | Fantic UW-Foto

Nauticam Bayonet Adapter for M67 Macro and Wide-Angle Wet Lenses

This Nauticam bayonet adapter allows compatible wet lenses with an M67 thread to be converted for use with the practical Nauticam bayonet system.

The adapter is suitable for use with Nauticam CMC and SMC macro lenses. Compatible M67 wet lenses from other manufacturers can also be adapted to the Nauticam bayonet system.

This makes it possible, for example, to convert suitable INON UCL macro lenses or compatible M67 underwater wide-angle lenses for use with the Nauticam bayonet mount.

Convert M67 Thread to Nauticam Bayonet

With a conventional M67 screw thread, a wet lens has to be rotated several times to attach or remove it. This can be inconvenient, especially underwater.

The Nauticam bayonet system, on the other hand, allows the wet lens to be attached or removed in just a few quick movements. This is particularly useful when changing between different types of underwater photography during the same dive.

Ideal for Macro and Wide-Angle Wet Lenses

The bayonet adapter can be used with compatible macro lenses as well as M67 wide-angle wet lenses. This makes it easy to integrate existing M67 wet lenses into a Nauticam bayonet system.

For underwater photography, this provides a major practical advantage: the required lens can be quickly attached to the underwater housing and removed again just as easily.

Fast Lens Changes Underwater

The Nauticam bayonet system enables fast and secure underwater wet lens changes. This makes it possible to switch quickly from standard shooting to macro photography or, with a compatible optic, to wide-angle photography.

There is no need to repeatedly screw and unscrew the lens from the M67 thread every time you want to change the setup.

A lens that is not currently in use can be stored safely on an optional Nauticam bayonet lens holder for strobe arms. The lens remains securely attached to the camera system during the dive and can be mounted again within seconds whenever required.

Advantages of the Nauticam M67 Bayonet Adapter

  • Converts M67 wet lenses to the Nauticam bayonet system
  • Suitable for Nauticam CMC and SMC macro lenses
  • Compatible with selected M67 wet lenses from other manufacturers
  • Can be used with compatible macro and wide-angle wet lenses
  • Fast underwater lens changes
  • No time-consuming screwing and unscrewing of M67 lenses
  • Fast, convenient and secure bayonet connection
  • Ideal for flexible and modular underwater camera systems
  • Wet lenses can be temporarily stored on an optional lens holder during the dive

More Flexibility for Underwater Photography

Underwater subjects can change within seconds. A small macro subject may suddenly be followed by a larger fish, a diver or an interesting reef scene.

A bayonet system makes switching between different underwater wet lenses considerably easier. The lens can be removed quickly, stored safely on the appropriate holder and mounted again whenever required.

The Nauticam bayonet adapter is therefore a particularly useful upgrade for underwater photographers who already own M67 macro or wide-angle wet lenses and want to use them more quickly and conveniently underwater.

Compatibility

The adapter is designed for compatible wet lenses with an M67 thread. These include suitable Nauticam CMC and SMC lenses as well as various compatible M67 wet lenses from other manufacturers.

Important: mechanical M67 compatibility does not automatically guarantee optimum optical compatibility. Optical performance depends on the specific combination of camera, camera lens, underwater housing and wet lens being used.

Recommended Accessory

An optional Nauticam bayonet lens holder for strobe arms is particularly useful in combination with this adapter. It allows a wet lens that is not currently in use to be stored safely on the underwater camera system during the dive.

The macro or wide-angle lens therefore remains within easy reach and can be mounted back onto the underwater housing within seconds.
