The AOI UH-R50 is a compact and lightweight underwater housing for the Canon EOS R50. It is designed for photographers and content creators who want to move beyond smartphones, action cameras or compact cameras and step into a high-quality mirrorless APS-C system – without sacrificing ease of use, low weight or travel convenience.

With a 60 m depth rating, integrated Vacuum Analyzation & Wet Detection System, M67 port thread and support for the Canon RF-S 18-45mm kit lens, the AOI UH-R50 is a smart, safe and attractive solution for high-quality underwater photos and 4K video.

The Canon EOS R50 features a large APS-C sensor that offers a clear image quality advantage over typical action cameras or smartphones. The Canon EOS R50 automatically recognises whether footage is being captured horizontally or vertically and tags the content accordingly. Combined with the lightweight AOI UH-R50, it creates a mobile underwater setup that is easy to handle while delivering far higher image quality than typical action camera solutions.

Fixed M67 Port for Security and Versatility

The AOI UH-R50 uses a fixed integrated port with a standard M67 thread. This design reduces potential user-serviceable seals and makes the system especially simple and reliable. At the same time, the housing remains flexible: compatible wide-angle or macro wet lenses can be mounted directly onto the M67 thread.

This allows the camera to remain safely sealed inside the housing throughout the dive, while optical accessories can be added or changed depending on the subject.

Integrated Vacuum and Wet Detection System

For additional safety, the AOI UH-R50 is equipped as standard with the AOI VWS. This Vacuum Analyzation & Wet Detection System monitors the internal vacuum pressure and detects moisture. It allows the user to check whether the housing is properly sealed before entering the water.
