AOI FC-02 Float Collar for AOI UIS-P1 Underwater Strobe
The AOI FC-02 has been specially developed to improve the buoyancy and balance of the AOI UIS-P1 Ultra InTeLi underwater strobe.
The AOI FC-02 Float Collar has been specifically designed for the AOI UIS-P1 Ultra InTeLi Underwater Strobe. The lightweight float collar reduces the negative underwater weight of the strobe and helps create a noticeably better balanced and more comfortable underwater camera system.
Especially during longer dives and when shooting macro or wide-angle, a well-balanced camera rig makes a significant difference. The system is easier to manoeuvre, steadier to position and places less strain on your hands and wrists.
Optimised buoyancy for the AOI UIS-P1
The FC-02 has been specifically tailored to the AOI UIS-P1 Strobe. It compensates for a large part of the strobe's negative underwater buoyancy and helps to balance the complete underwater camera rig more effectively.
When combined with AOI float arms, the overall buoyancy of an underwater photo or video system can be adjusted even more precisely to suit the camera, housing, ports and other accessories.
Advanced EPP material
The AOI FC-02 is made from Expanded Polypropylene (EPP), a lightweight and durable material with an excellent strength-to-weight ratio.
EPP is water-resistant, dimensionally stable and designed to withstand repeated use under increased ambient pressure. This makes the Float Collar a durable solution for improving the balance of the UIS-P1 strobe system dive after dive.

Developed from real-world user feedback
AOI developed the FC-02 in direct response to feedback from underwater photographers. The goal was to provide a simple and compact solution that allows the UIS-P1 to be integrated more effectively into a well-balanced underwater camera rig.
The result is a purpose-built float collar that adds very little weight on land while making a noticeable difference to the underwater balance of the strobe.
Availability
New for 2026: AOI plans to begin shipping the AOI FC-02 Float Collar to authorised dealers worldwide from mid-October 2026.
