The new lens is a powerful yet relatively compact super telephoto zoom weighing just 1,125 g. The new stabilizer is synchronized.
As it is compatible with the two teleconverters, its focal length can be doubled to 800 mm or 1,600 mm in 35 mm equivalent.
The ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating reduces ghosting and flare even in poor conditions such as backlighting.
