s-TURTLE 2 SMART+ TTL Trigger for Sony

The s-TURTLE 2 SMART+ is an advanced TTL and manual trigger designed for high-end Sony mirrorless camera systems. The “+” in the name indicates that this updated version can also control the new intelligent AOI strobe.

It is the perfect choice for ambitious underwater photographers who need a reliable TTL converter that is compatible with the most popular underwater strobes.

Compatible Sony camera models:

  • A72, A7R2, A7S2, A73, A7R3, A7S3, A7R4, A74, A1, A9, A9-2, A7C, A7CR, 6X00 series
  • (HI+ continuous shooting available on A74, A1, A7R5, A92)

Compatible flash units (as of 01/2025):

  • Ikelite DS160, Inon Z240/Z330, Sea&Sea YS-D1, YS-D3, Subtronic 270, Retra PRO X
  • Backscatter Mini Flash 2, RETRA PRO MAX (HSS mode available in manual (WL) mode)

If you want to connect your strobe via a fiber optic cable, we recommend using a multicore (613) cable. Please let us know which connection you are using and which underwater strobe you want to control with the TURTLE trigger so that we can configure the unit optimally for you.

The setup software for PC can be downloaded from the TRT website. A Mac version is available in the App Store.
