High-End Aluminum Underwater Housing for Sony A7CII and A7CR

The Nauticam NA-A7CII underwater housing is a professional camera housing that matches the premium camera, making it a rugged and reliable aluminum underwater housing. Ergonomic access to camera control is one of the defining strengths of a Nauticam housing, and the NA-A7CII continues that tradition. Major changes to camera parameters are made from the handles, without cumbersome gripping procedures.

THE SONY A7CII/R FULL-FRAME CAMERA.

The Sony a7CII and A7CR, at 33 MP and 61 MP respectively, are Sony's smallest full-frame cameras. They are more like the Sony a6600 with an APS-C sensor in terms of body size, but offer the same hybrid real-time tracking autofocus system as Sony's higher-end Alpha models.

Groundbreaking optical accessories take performance to a new level. Magnification viewfinders, the sharpest super macro add-on lenses ever made, and now the highest quality water-contact wide-angle lenses (the WWL-1 and WACP-1) combine with the NA-A7CII housing to create a complete imaging system.

Nauticam is known for ergonomics and an unparalleled experience. Key controls are located right at the photographer's fingertips. The housing and accessories are lightweight and easy to assemble. The camera can be used without any presetting of the controls, and changing the lens mount is effortless.

The NA-A7CII features an integrated grip system. This ergonomic design provides excellent access to the controls, even when wearing thick gloves, with ideal shutter release placement and a thumb lever for operating the AF-ON button from the right grip.

Nauticam workmanship is renowned among underwater photographers around the globe. The housing is machined from a solid block of aluminum and then hard anodized, making it impervious to saltwater corrosion. Stainless steel and marine-grade plastic parts complete the housing, which is backed by a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

PREMIUM OPTICS
Several in-house Nauticam optical designs, created by founder and CEO Edward Lai, are the perfect lenses for an a7CII/R underwater system. The magic of water contact lenses lies in their tremendous versatility, coupled with outstanding performance in the water. Both macro and super wide angle lenses are available to the underwater photographer on the same dive. These lenses are designed entirely for use in the water and offer the highest image quality available in a water contact optic today. While there are many options, we focus on the most compact and versatile setup that matches the travel-friendly size of the a7CII.

The WWL-1 is a wide-angle converter compatible with the Sony FE 28-60mm f/4-5.6 lens, offering a diagonal field of view of 130 degrees at full zoom! The WWL-1 offers class-leading center sharpness, corner sharpness, and contrast, resulting in some of the best wide-angle images possible underwater.

CMC-1 and CMC-2 offer the best macro performance for the Sony FE 28-60mm f/4-5.6 lens, with two different magnification strengths, suitable for a wide range of macro subjects. CMC-2 is less powerful, making it easier to use with more precise autofocus. CMC-1 is best for the smallest macro subjects. Macro enthusiasts will certainly want both!

FAST AND RELIABLE FLASH TRIGGERING
With the NA-A7CII, reliable manual rapid flash triggering is possible for a variety of optically triggered strobes when using the LED flash trigger (26302). The NA-A7CII is fiber optic ready and can be operated with the Universal Fiber Optic Cable (26216).

Video and flash arms can be attached to the housing using the included 1″ accessory mounting balls.

Electric flash triggering is still an option for those who have invested in older lighting equipment, and requires the purchase of an electric flash socket (25056) as an accessory.

INTEGRATED VACUUM CHECK AND LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM.
The Nauticam vacuum check and leak detection system is available as standard equipment on NA-A7CII. When combined with an optional vacuum valve (PN 25624), this monitoring system provides continuous updates on the housing's watertight and submersible status. A simple coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the vacuum is stable or that the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is integrated into the same circuitry, providing an audible and visual indication in the event of water intrusion.
