You know what's one of the hardest things to find these days? Freedom. Impressive image quality in an amazingly compact and extremely rugged housing
The OM System TG-7 is the new flagship of the Tough series. No matter what the weather, no matter how inhospitable the environment, nothing will faze the TG-7, even if it's dropped. This rugged compact is ready for any situation, supporting outdoor enthusiasts with a reliable field sensor system and top image quality thanks to numerous advancements and new features: These include, for example, new underwater modes, more versatile macro options and a new display with optimized resolution.

Designed for adventure
The Tough TG-7 is a handy and reliable partner even in harsh environments: It's waterproof to a depth of 15 m, dustproof, shockproof to 2.1 m, shatterproof to 100 kg and freezeproof to -10 °C, and features a double protective glass design to keep the lens from fogging up1. A new attachable lens cover (LB-T01) prevents scratches, and the underwater housing (PT-059) allows shooting at depths corresponding to pressures up to 45 m (both products sold separately). Always with data such as location, altitude/depth and air/water temperature thanks to the Olympus field sensor system.

Fast lens, high-speed sensor and the latest image processor for stunning image quality
The camera class-leading 25-100mm zoom lens3 with F22 aperture enables fantastic photos and videos. Combine this with the back-illuminated CMOS image sensor and TruePic VIII image processor. The image sensor stands for outstanding performance at high sensitivity and the image processor, which incidentally is also used in the OM-D E-M1X, reduces noise and improves resolution in low-contrast areas. The new digital teleconverter virtually doubles zoom performance up to 8x. The anti-reflective (AR) coating on the sensor protection glass reduces ghosting and flare effects. Those who want to edit their images will be pleased with the ability to record RAW data as well.

Unique macro system with a minimum distance of only 1 cm
The Tough TG-7 is equipped with a variable macro system that pushes the limits of what the human eye can see: With a distance of only 1 cm from the end of the lens and a maximum shooting magnification of 7 times, the camera enables spectacular macro shots. The system offers four modes: Microscopy, Microscope Control Mode, Focus Bracketing and Focus Stacking. Focus Stacking now allows users to determine the number of frames. They can choose between 3 and 10 shots.

Underwater shooting mode for even more flexibility
The TG-7 is equipped with five modes for underwater shooting: Underwater Wide Angle, Underwater Snapshot, Underwater Marko, Underwater HDR and the new Underwater Microscope mode. The proven underwater white balance has been expanded to three options, providing optimal color matching for shooting at greater depths.

New system accessories for the Tough
Waterproof lens converters, bags for perfect protection on the go, an underwater housing for divers and all components are as robust as the cameras they were designed for. New to the range:
> PT-059 underwater housing for taking photos and videos at depths corresponding to a pressure of up to 45 m. All underwater housings are easy to handle and provide access to all camera functions. They have an optical connector to control two external underwater flashes such as the UFL-3 with the camera.
> CSCH-127 silicone case protects the surface of the camera body from scratches and provides a firm grip during winter or water sports. Macro Light Guide LG-1 and Flash Diffuser FD-1 can be attached to the camera without removing the silicone bag.
> LB-T01 lens cover to protect the lens from dirt and scratches. It can be easily opened/closed by turning it, so it can be operated even with gloves.
> FCON-T02 Fisheye converter for easy switching between circular and diagonal. Use only with CLA-T01 converter adapter (sold separately).
> UC-92 Lithium-ion charger for fully charging the LI-92B rugged camera battery via a USB port in about 2.5 hours.
