Stacked BSI Live MOS Sensor
Our 20MP Stacked BSI Live MOS Sensor is a leap forward in image quality. It uses a revolutionary new way of arranging the picture elements to let more light through and improve low-light performance. Your photos will have stunning resolution with low noise and wide dynamic range, from shadows to highlights.

Low-light photography
Take carefree photos indoors or in other low-light situations from now on. The camera has a standard ISO range of up to 25,600, and if there's not enough light, you can increase the ISO to 102,400 to take bright photos in even the most challenging environments.

TruePic X
The OM-1 is equipped with our state-of-the-art TruePic X image processing chip, which works in conjunction with the Stacked BSI Live MOS sensor. The TruePic X delivers blazing fast startup and write speeds, impressive autofocus, and breathtakingly fast continuous shooting. In addition to speed, this redesigned processing chip also sets new standards for image quality. Enjoy lifelike colors, unsurpassed sharpness, and vivid color gradations.

High-resolution handheld shooting
Sometimes you just need more resolution than a 20MP image. Now you can take a 50MP shot with the push of a button. Even better, you don't need a tripod or other stabilizing equipment. Just hold your camera and press the shutter button. The OM-1 automatically takes 12 shots and instantly composites them into one high-resolution photo with spectacular detail.

Live Composite
Every photographer knows that shooting long exposures is a challenge. But Live Composite mode makes it easier with our built-in image stabilization system. Dramatic shots of traffic queues, fireworks or painted lights can now be taken handheld. The camera takes a series of photos with the same exposure time and then combines them into one shot.

Focus Stacking
Focus Stacking adds a whole new artistic dimension to your images by adding depth of field from foreground to background. In doing so, the OM-1 automatically captures a series of shots and stitches them together to create a beautifully crafted overall image. Focus Stacking mode is used primarily in macro photography to add depth and drama to images of insects, spider webs, and flowers. You can also use it in landscape photography to give a distinct sense of place.

Expressive HDR
Now your photos have a wider and more expressive dynamic range with excellent contrast and clarity. You'll see darker shadows and brighter highlights to create more visually arresting shots.

Starry sky AF
Photographing the galaxy has never been easier. Our Starry Sky AF mode offers two settings for brilliant astro shots. The Speed Priority setting works with the OM-1's powerful built-in image stabilizer to let you shoot the night sky without worrying about sharpness. The "Accuracy Priority" setting lets you use a tripod and telephoto lens to focus on specific stars with incredible precision. One mode. Two settings. And endless star photos.

Anti-flicker
Control the light indoors. Anti-Flare mode compensates for artificial light by automatically activating the shutter at maximum brightness to even out exposure and color difference between images.

Silent shooting
Sometimes silence is best. This convenient mode shuts off all shutter and electronic noise - perfect for when you need silence in discreet environments.

Fast 120 FPS EVF
See the world as it really is through our electronic viewfinder. It operates with Live View at 120 frames per second for crystal-clear viewing in low light or even in the dark. Nearly 6 million dots provide spectacular resolution, while a display delay of a barely perceptible 0.005 seconds keeps pace with the fastest-moving subjects.

1,053-point all-cross quad-pixel AF
A huge increase in autofocus tracking points. The OM-1 features 1,053-point all-cross quad-pixel AF for high-precision focusing. Each point is cross-shaped, enabling detection of vertical and horizontal lines for unsurpassed accuracy. This advanced autofocus technology ensures you capture it all - anytime, anywhere.

120 FPS Burst RAW, 50 FPS AF/AE Tracking
When you need plenty of speed in a shooting situation, to capture a fast-moving subject or a split second, you can rely on the OM-1. With the silent electronic shutter, you can shoot 120 frames per second continuous shooting at full resolution in RAW format. With AF/AE tracking, you can shoot a burst of 50 frames per second without annoying blackouts or display delays. You'll always know exactly what you're shooting.

120 FPS Pro Capture
Responding to events that take a fraction of a second is hard. But not with our Pro Capture mode. When you press the shutter button halfway down, the camera starts capturing a series of photos at 120 frames per second. When you see the moment you want, press the shutter button all the way down and the camera saves that image, as well as the buffered shots. Never miss a shot again because you're too slow to react.

IP53 - Dustproof and splashproof
You're on a shoot and suddenly it starts to rain. Or you're working in the desert and a strong wind blows sand everywhere. Maybe you're taking snowboard photos and the temperature is below freezing. The OM-1 can handle it all. You don't even need to bring protective gear like a rain cover. A sophisticated system of seals keeps the weather out, so you can shoot your best without worrying about your camera.

Say no to dust
Shooting in dusty, dirty environments is always a challenge. The OM-1 makes it easy for you. Our Supersonic Wave Filter keeps the sensor clean so your images stay free of unwanted particles. It vibrates 30,000 times per second, instantly shaking dust and dirt off the sensor to keep your images pristine.

Shutter Bug
The OM-1 is equipped with one of the longest-lasting shutters in the industry. It's been tested for reliability of 400,000 operations. That means you can count on a long-lasting shutter that works perfectly.

New BLX-1 battery and charging on the go
Long battery life means you can work for hours. The camera comes with our new, powerful BLX-1 lithium-ion battery that gives you 520 shots. You can continue to use the camera while the batteries are charging, so there's no need to stop working. Our battery charger is sold separately and can charge two batteries at once.

Two UHS-II card slots
The OM-1's TruePic X processor drives 2 UHS-II compatible card slots, delivering blazing data transfer speeds.

In-camera image rating

Our free app for smartphones is called OI.Share and connects seamlessly to your camera via WiFi. So you can instantly transfer photos and videos, upload images to social networks, and control your camera remotely.

Remote photography
If you shoot in a studio, you'll appreciate being able to connect the OM-1 to a laptop or monitor with OM Capture to view your images instantly. That way, you can make adjustments on the fly and be more productive.

BLE connectivity for mobile devices
BLE stands for Bluetooth Low Energy and helps you save your camera's battery. It's a Bluetooth connection that stays in sleep or power-saving mode until it's needed, so your camera's battery lasts longer.

Videos 4K/C4K 60p 10BIT
With 4K shooting, you get stunningly detailed and exceptionally vivid video that can be easily viewed on the largest screens. The OM-1 can also shoot FHD at the standard 240p resolution, which looks great on virtually any screen. You can also record at a high bit rate in a variety of frame sizes, including H.264 and H.265.

Ultimate slow motion
Slow things down and record the ultimate slow-motion video. 240 frames per second at Full HD is a feat in itself. With the new TruePic X processor, the OM-1 can now capture the crack of a bat in a ball game, the slowing of a chameleon's tongue, and even the flight of a hummingbird.

OM-Log LUT
Lighting conditions can change quickly, especially if you're working from the road. When you shoot in OM-Log mode, the dynamic range is maximized so your video looks clean and crisp without losing detail in the shadows or highlights. A new Look Up Table (LUT) lets you view an image on location that's close to the color you want for your final image after color correction.

Video Capture Features
The OM-1 has a whole host of features that let you shoot great video that looks just the way you want it. The zebra pattern tells you if the brightness is high or low and helps you find the right exposure. The camera's aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and white balance can be customized to give you more creative options. The display can be switched between image quality mode and BT.709 equivalent. We've included features that make framing easier and allow you to record high-resolution audio. All in all, this is a camera with everything you need to capture great video.
