Description

The Nauticam NA-TG6 Aluminum Underwater Housing.

Nauticam has continuously supported the Olympus Tough series since the TG-3. Although the camera is waterproof on its own, Nauticam's machined aluminum housing transforms the TG-6 and TG-7 into a true underwater imaging platform. Access to key controls not only translates into the housing, but is enhanced by large, well-placed and clearly labeled buttons and dials. The NA-TG6 is compatible with TG-5, TG-6 and TG-7 camera models.

Integrated bayonet mount

The NA-TG6 comes with an integrated bayonet mount that works with all previous bayonet mount accessories as well as the new WWL-C wet wide-angle lens for compact camera systems. The WWL-C is designed to provide true, underwater ultra-wide-angle performance for 24mm equivalents found on the TG-5, TG-6 and TG-7 cameras. The WWL-C in a low-profile wet-correction optic that offers a 130º field of view with full zoom-through capability. The lens can be easily removed for underwater macro situations and stored securely with one of the Nauticam bayonet storage solutions.

Accessory mounting options

On the Nauticam NA-TG6, both a coldshoe and an M10 thread are located on the housing. These can be used for a variety of lighting accessories. When even more flexibility is needed, the housing comes with a set of stainless steel stiffening brackets and a trigger extension for use with the Nauticam Flexitray II or Easitray II systems. Adding the adjustable right handle and optional strobe mounting balls (71311) creates an even more stable shooting platform with up to four accessory mounting locations.

Flash release

The NA-TG6 is capable of transmitting the camera's internal strobe to supported external flash units via Nauticam universal fiber optic cables that plug directly into Sea&Sea bulkheads on the front of the housing. The included diffuser can also be attached to use the internal strobe as the primary light source.

LCD Magnifier

The NA-TG6 can be equipped with rails (25123) above and below the rear LCD display window to accommodate the LCD magnifier with diopter adjustment (25106). The magnifier not only acts as a "shade dispenser" to help in bright shooting conditions, it can also magnify the screen to assess critical focus. The magnifier has diopter compensation to adjust the focus for your vision, even when using a corrective mask.

Flash system

External underwater flash units can be easily connected and used via fiber optic cables. These cables connect to the outside of the housing and transmit the strobe signal from the camera to the external strobe, which responds and fires.
